Black banks make the American dream possible. And that’s why we’ve made it our mission to serve them.
The National Black Bank Foundation (NBBF) is at the forefront of the campaign to close America’s racial wealth gap – aggressively revitalizing and modernizing the historically undercapitalized Black banks that will in turn lift up Black families, Black businesses and Black communities across the country.
Co-founded by White House veteran Ashley Bell, the National Black Bank Foundation provides legal, regulatory, and operational support services to Black-owned banks to help them scale to meet the demand in these communities. With the support of Big 4 accounting firm KPMG, global law firm Dentons, and strategic advisors our goal is to work across all industry sectors to prove how Black banks can and will compete when given the opportunity to do so.
The NBBF Board of Directors includes:
St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones (Chair)
King Center CEO Dr. Bernice A. King
